If you don't know money is the number cause of divorce in this country and probably in most countries. If you are not married yet you should have a serious conversation with your spouse to see if your thoughts and ideas are the same about how to handle money.
You should be on the same page with budgeting, saving, spending habits, spending (or splurging) on children, etc. Many of these things people often take for granted in the name of love but that love may not last for long if the rest of the relationship is driven into the ground by the problems of not handling money responsibly can bring.
What about the frustration if one spouse if a saver and the other is a wasteful spender? I see problems...that love can't solve...Counseling and education can, if the will is there.
